Outstanding book. This type of space opera set in the future with it's military twist is great.

This book begins an excellent space adventure featuring Honor Harrington, and friends as well as frienemies! I found this author and this series some years ago and have enjoyed every book I read.

David Weber is the gifted science fiction action/adventure writer who created the her Majesty's space navy officer Honor Harrington, a young woman assigned to command the destroyer class military ship 'Fearless'. When Honor runs afoul of certain members of the aristocracy, she and her ship are sent to Basilisk Station, a dumping ground for undesirable members of the naval military.
