Admittedly, I carefully read the first two chapters and skimmed through the rest (as they weren't my primary concern). Nevertheless, I think it's safe to say that Banash provides the reader with extensive context in which to read collages and readymades; touching upon the technological, political and especially social background of the the artistic phenomena.
